Supply Chain Excellence

The attainment of Supply Chain Excellence[1] is a defined journey that consist of the methodical integration of Core Development Factors and Operational Variables into an organized system of strategic actions that define how Suppliers engage in Supply Chains.

The CMP is rooted in organizational change management which includes Core Development Factors that embrace:

  • Defining the appropriate Strategy and goals
  • Utilizing effective Design techniques to organize businesses, regional, functions, processes, etc.
  • Managing performance measures
  • Analyzing performance gaps for field improvement
  • Implementing Improvement
  • Monitoring performance

The strategic actions taken by Suppliers  are impacted by Operating Variables that include:

  • Trading Partners – Customers and Suppliers in the Supply Chain
  • Organization – as defined in the organizational chart and job functions
  • Processes – leading practices and inbound and outbound  physical network
  • Technology – most often fixed assets and supply chain information systems
  • Performers  - individual contributors to supply chain strategy execution

The Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP) methodically integrates Core Development Factors and Operational Variables into a five phase CMP Educational and Training System.   In the CMP Detailed Process Framework used for Supplier training, Core Development Factors and Operational Variable are broken down into detailed Task and Subtask.
