DMSCA to Launch HBCU Connections at ACCELERATE2022
Connect with HBCU Supply Chain Management and Engineering Students
Give me an “H”, give me a “B”, give me an HBCU! In advance of ACCELERATE2022, DMSCA’s National Education and Training Conference DMSCA announces the launch of the “HBCU Connections Track,” building on the successful experience from HBCU students at DMSCA’s 2020 event.
Not only will Industry 4.0 driven supply chain digitalization bring about the most significant transformation of manufacturing and supply chain management in a generation, but it will also demand a commensurate level of workforce transformation. In the “end-to-end” supply chain, regardless of how connected through technology in Digital Supply Networks, both large Multinational Enterprises (MNEs) and Small to Mid-sized Manufacturers (SMMs) will require an assessment of its workforce to assure that it has the right employees with the right technical proficiencies to remain competitive. One resource for talent acquisition are the nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
By January 1, 2022, the new DMSCA eB2B Connect365, will provide opportunities for its Corporate and Supplier Members to connect with and to conduct pre-ACCELERATE2022 interviews with HBCU Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, and Industrial Engineering students representing up to 12 national HBCUs with interest in internship and/or career opportunities. Reciprocally, registered HBCU students will be able to (1) electronically post information about their academic proficiencies and career interest, and (2) request a pre-ACCELERATE2022 and eB2B Connect365 interview. Of course, there will always be the option of meeting HBCU students at ACCELERATE2022.
Stay tuned for more information on DMSCA’s HBCU Connections during the September 2021 launch and how HBCU supply chain management, information systems, and industrial engineering students can be sponsored to attend ACCEERLRATE2022.
